Dean began coaching MX while I was still racing as a professional in the World Championships and I was always amazed at his ability to analyze riders’ strengths and weaknesses. He has used his experience of travelling to many GP’s and British Championship races with me to very accurately and concisely identify how a rider can be improved.
On several occasions I have joined him doing Coaching days and I would regard him as one of the best in the world, not just South Africa. His ability to create a rapport with riders of all ages and abilities is second to none. The results speak for themselves when you look at how much progress his students have made and continue to make each season.
The long standing relationship between Dean and his students is also testament to this and I would highly recommend any rider of any age to attend coaching sessions with Dean.
